Testing the SiteZAP Plug-in

 

You should have already installed the pieces of the SiteZAP system by going through the Read-Me First Instructions.

With SiteCam, SiteZAP, and your web server running we can tour some of the features of SiteZAP. Be sure that you are accessing this document through the Web server.


Example 1: Remote control of the camera using simple controls. Features 4 video sources for various bandwidth and browser window sizes.

Example 2: Fewer viewing modes, but a little splashier user interface.

QuickTime 4: Sample of Sorenson Broadcaster based SiteZAP (requires "qt4.mov" file at root level that points to video the broadcaster stream.)

SiteZAP Admin: Set the how long the camera stays in use, and how much the camera moves each time.

SiteZAP Commands: The commands available via HTML

SiteZAP Variables: Shows how to add information about SiteZAP to a status page.

Setting Presets: Use in conjunction with an open SiteZAP page so that you can set presets remotely.

SiteCam Status Information: Gives information about the open SiteCam documents.

SiteCam Admin: Set SiteCam anti-hijacking (consult your SiteCam documentation for information.)

Panorama: Use the "Create Panorama Script" to help create a QT Panorama. Some setup/configuration is needed.

Trouble Shooting:

If the SiteZAP camera is not responding, check the following:

Could be one or more of the following:

1. Launch SiteCam with the Caps_Lock key down and watch for error messages.
2. Make sure that AppleTalk is set to Ethernet, if you're using the Printer port.
3. From the main SiteZAP Setup Dialog, select the appropriate serial port.
4. Double check all connections to the camera.
5. Make sure the camera is not in auto-tracking mode.
